Each year, the task force brings together representatives of social service agencies, state, federal and local government agencies, criminal justice agencies, researchers, faith-based organizations, and business leaders, to lay groundwork for future collaborative projects, advocacy, and program development for human trafficking in New Mexico.
The purpose of our annual conferences are to educate social service, health care, and criminal justice professionals on human trafficking and the needs and risks of those victimized by the commercial sex industry and labor slavery.
Topics on Agenda:
Federal and State Laws and monetary relief for victims of trafficking;
Law Enforcement Response to human trafficking;
Assisting survivors in the time of the Covid-19 Pandemic;
New Mexico's Comprehensive Service Model for victims of sex and labor trafficking;
Recovery, Empowerment, and re-integration for survivors of human trafficking.
Be a part of a greater cause!
We look forward to learning new and evolving practices from each county and engaging with local leaders on what they are encountering in their communities. We are excited to unite our audience to provide new opportunities for networking and collaboration and we hope that with your support we can make this year’s event the most enriching yet!
The Annual Conference is free of charge to our task force participants. The deadline to RSVP to the 5th Annual Conference is January 1, 2021.
